Two Massive Stainless-Steel Hoppers Sent to Sweden
First two out of six hoppers have successfully reached Sweden! Nordsteel was responsible for manufacturing and delivering the items, as well as all the accessories that come along – gratings, platforms, supports and other necessary details. All the items were painted, and trial assembled to make sure there are no difficulties erecting them at site.
Both hoppers were safely packed into separate trucks. The bigger one, which was 4,3t in weight hopper (4,46 x 2,15 x 2,35m) even required non-standard truck delivery. No problem with that since most of our deliveries require an individual approach and extraordinary solutions. The second hopper is a bit smaller and weights “only” 3,8 tons.

5 Pressure Vessels Manufactured for a Pulp Mill in Finland
For safe functioning under high pressure! Recently Nord Steel was awarded with a contract to supply 5 pressure vessels for a pulp mill in Finland.
Over the past few years, we have established an entire design department at our workshop exclusively for designing and engineering pressure vessels. Our experienced team develops and manufactures powerful pressure vessels, which are being delivered to a wide range of facilities around the world.
This time our scope of work consists of manufacturing blowdown tanks and condensate tanks with pressure going up to 45 bars and wall thickness up to 35mm. Pressure vessels were designed within strict Finnish and EU standards.
It was a great challenge to ensure the 45 bars pressure, since in previous projects our manufactured condensate, pumping, collection pressurized tanks were up to 10 bars of working pressure.
This is a huge step up for us to making things even more pressured! Only sky is the limit!
Nord Steel Donates Eur 10 000 for Children and Families in Ukraine
Nord Steel joins the global support wave and provides humanitarian aid to the Ukrainians who are now coping with extremely difficult times. The company donates Eur 10 000 to NGO SOS Children's Villages in Ukraine.

SOS Children's Villages Ukraine is currently working to ensure that children and families in danger are safe: they are relocating children and families, providing new accommodation, food, medicine and other essentials. Our help is essential to keep the work going and to help as many children and families in danger as possible.
Nord Steel also encourages and supports its employees in contributing to helping Ukraine and its people in any way that helps.

Stainless-steel Ducts Sent to Sweden
Just recently four trucks of stainless-steel ducts have been sent to Sweden straight from Nord Steel workshop. The shipment contained 20t of ducts which is only 11% of the total project volume!
The most distinctive feature of this project is that the ducts are not only made of very thin stainless steel (3mm)and are 2,9m in diameter, but also in order to ensure the requested temperature adjustments they had to be insulated. All of these works have been done in our outside workshop.
This is the biggest SS order in our history so far, but we are looking forward to expanding our stainless steel workshop in the near future and continuing working with such volume orders.
Dredger’s Cutterheads Maintenance Works at Liepaja’s port (Latvia)
Intense port dredging works! When inland Nord Steel workshop mobilizes offshore, it’s always all in. Four teams of welders and assemblers worked 24/7 for almost 4 months to secure Liepaja’s port deepening project in the Baltic Sea.
Nord Steel was responsible for performing maintenance works by replacing broken cutterhead parts. Logistic and procurement departments were involved as well, as our scope consisted of transportation services from port to workshop, including lifting services. Each cutterhead weighed approximately from 24 to 30 tons.
Believe it or not, we managed to repair 1-2 cutterheads daily!
Certificates of Conformity of Steel Fabrication and Welding
Quality comes first, and we don't just say that – our production quality is certified by the internationally respected Bureau Veritas. @Nord Steel is certified with European Standards EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 (steel and aluminum components manufacturing) and EN ISO 3834-2:2021 (fusion welding of metallic materials).
These European Standards specify requirements for conformity assessment of performance characteristics for structural steel and aluminum components. The conformity assessment covers the structural design and manufacturing
characteristics. The ISO Certificate defines comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials both in workshops and at field installation sites.

Hot Commissioning Certificate Received: Over 70t of Steel Equipment Fully Operational
Hot commissioning completed! At the end of last year Nord Steel has received hot commissioning certificate for more than 70t of different size and shape steel ducts supplied to Schwenk Latvija Cement Plant (up until recently known as Broceni Cement Plant).
We joined the construction and modernization project of the Schwenk Latvija plant last July, and now the project is finally fully operational. Our team was responsible for manufacturing big scale silos and ducts and its transportation to site. Furthermore, we were in charge of modernization works of existing silos on site.
Manufactured and Assembled Divider / Slide Gate Successfully Delivered to China
Nord Steel has recently completed another successful project that had required extraordinary and precise attention to detail.
The task was to manufacture a Divider / Slide Gate. Although this item was not extraordinary by its heavyweight or size, it was still not a regular walk in the park. The product had to be precisely manufactured and assembled to ensure the required accuracy between moving parts.
Once the item was complete, it was crucial to ensure it worked flawlessly. Therefore, our team ran precise testing making sure every part of the product moved nicely and smoothly. After test assembly, the Divider / Slide Gate was disassembled and neatly packed for its long journey, all the way to Asia.
Cooperation with MT Group: Condensate Tank with Service Shaft for Project in Poland
Cooperation brings exciting new projects! Nord Steel is a member of the group of companies together with MT Group, which is an EPC contractor specializing in energy and infrastructure sectors.
This time our cooperation brought us a very important manufacturing order from MT Group for a strategic interconnector project in Poland. We have supplied an underground condensate tank of 5m3 with a service shaft. The double-wall tank’s internal diameter is 1.2m and the shaft was designed for easy access through the aluminum hatches on top.
As you can see in the pictures below, the product was fully assembled before reaching the location of delivery. Always a pleasure to work with MT Group.
