Manufactured and Delivered: 6-cell Baghouse Filter (Scotland)
When we say that we work in heavy industry, we literally mean – HEAVY. Here is a completed project where Nord Steel manufactured fully assembled cells and connecting duct system for a 6-cell Baghouse Filter.
Each cell was 4,2 meters in diameter, 17 meters in height, reaching 10 tons of weight per unit. All structures were shot blasted and primed or coated with a full coating system.
Gas-tight structures require extreme focus on the details. For this project our best engineers prepared the welding plan – one of the most important parts of the process. Extremely strict quality control and acceptance criteria helped to minimize any potential deformation and keep up with very strict design tolerance.
Manufactured equipment was delivered to waste-to-energy project in Scotland.

In the end of last year, Nord Steel participated in the National Responsible Business Awards, organized by the Ministry of Social Security and Labour. These awards recognize socially responsible companies that are leading the way and moving beyond corporate social responsibility.
What is the responsible business for Nord Steel? It’s not just plain compliance with national laws or internationally acclaimed standards – this part is mandatory, out of the discussion.
But what really shows, if the company is socially responsible is TEAM! The way Nord Steel employees are motivated to walk an extra mile or show initiative in making things better without being asked for it. This is our main goal – to spread social responsibility and increase efficiency in all our processes.

Manufactured steel storage silos delivered to Broceni cement plant in Latvia
Last week Nord Steel has transported two steel storage silos to the Broceni cement plant in Latvia. One loaded truck weighs 40t. Its dimensions are also impressive: 23.5m length, 4m width and 5m height.
Transporting the production which is most of the times and bulky is a very important part of our projects requiring extreme care and precision. Luckily, all of our deliveries so far are accident-free.
